12:00 to 12:50 EDUCATIONAL SESSION- “Notes from the Editor” - fashion industry writers will discuss creative influences and the direction that fashion is taking in North Carolina. The discussion will embody advice for designers, models, photographers, stylist, and aspiring fashion editors. Experts will also discuss current season trends and the future of fashion for North Carolina. Speakers: Rachel Sutherland, Jess James, Alli Marshall, and Eric T. Reese.
1:00 to 1:50 LUNCH and NETWORKING provided by Panera Bread
2:00 to 2:50 EDUCATIONAL SESSION- “Model-ogic” - learn the professional aspects of a modeling career. Experts will discuss what to look for in an agency and how to avoid scams, “go-sees”, portfolios, castings, and general education. 3:00 to 3:50 EDUCATION SESSION- “The Beauty Buffet” -Fashion and Beauty go hand in hand. Attendees can expect to receive live demonstrations from professional make-up artists, hairstylist, and wardrobe stylists on current season trends as well as tips and tricks of the trade. Speakers: Sparkles Hill, Sharon Davis, VaShawn Gill, and Dani Devoy.

4:00 to 4:50 Closing Session Keynote- Reco Chapple, American fashion designer recently featured in Bravo TV's series, "The Fashion Show" will talk about “Breaking into Fashion”
6:00 to 8:00 Fashion Showcase- Our fashion showcase is a partnership of independent fashion designers primarily from North Carolina who are dedicated to see the fashion industry grow in North Carolina. The showcase was created in addition to the summit as a way to increase economic development in the areas of fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling. Our goal is to enhance and create a strong fashion following in North Carolina.
